DIRECTIONS: Broken Top Crater trail head is at the end of a bad road, which calls for high clearance vehicle. 4WD is unnecessary.
For a regular car, you can park at Todd Lake Day Use Area, and hike in from there. You're adding about 2 miles one way to the hike.

SUMMARY: Beautiful alpine setting, meadows and creeks along the way. The lake is blue green. Absolutely stunning setting under the jagged spires of Broken Top.

It's possible to camp at the lake basin. But do take care of the serene surrounding, and pack out all your waste. Can be cold and windy here.

From Broken Top Crater TH, it's less than 4 miles to the lake. From Todd Lake TH, it's about 7 miles to the lake.

No-name Lake At Broken Top

I started at Todd Lake TH, and did a detour to a different crater of Broken Top (west of the lake). Then backed out and around to go to No-name Lake. Added ~2 miles. Saved some hiking by hiking out Broken Top Crater trail to its trailhead at 7100', snow in parking lot. Hitched a ride to my car. Todd Lake -> No-name Lake: about 6-7 miles. No-name Lake -> Broken Top Crater Trailhead: about 3-4 miles. Extra scramble to the crater by Crook Glacier: ~2 miles. Lots of snow, starting maybe 6500'. The lake is gorgeous. Do walk for extra 1/2 mile to a ridge, where you can see all three Sisters and beyond.
