Starting by taking the bus to Delbrook and Montroyal in North Vancouver, we walked up to the Prospect Road entrance to the Baden Powell. The first trail (that I thought was Peer Gynt - "50 min to Mountain Highway") was closed and the sign pointed East and said to take the Cascades trail. Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out how far it was, so we went through the closed section. I've been searching the internet for a while now, and still haven't figured out where the other trail is!
We went to Mountain Highway, then continued on up to the Quarry. We then walked Mountain Highway again until we reached Pipeline Pass. We then turned onto the Erik the Red trail, went over Barrier Creek and up to Thunderbird Ridge.
Even on a cloudy day this is a beautiful hike. Unfortunately, the blueberries weren't as good this year as they were last year, but I still enjoyed myself! It ended up taking us 7 hours due to an injury that slowed us down near the top, and 3 long breaks. For most people it would be 5 hours.
