This was a new hike for us but we had heard good things. It seems to be one of the hikes with the highest elevation gain and highest viewpoint along the Oregon coast so we were hoping for clear skies to fully appreciate the view. Access is right on the highway. The trail was in great shape and easy to follow, switchbacks start right away and continue until you gain about 200 m, with some decent ocean views right away. Then you head through some forest for quite awhile, until about 5 minutes before the top. Short scramble to the top and there are amazing views South to Manzanita and beyond. Only took about an hour to the top and a little less on the way down. Another great trail close to Cannon Beach.
