SUMMARY: Popular to the museum. Hardly anybody on the trails from the museum up to Wawona point, and that's where majority of the sequoias are!
Parking is limited, so the shuttle from Wawona may be best at peak hours.create

Mariposa Grove Trail

Completely different views from the rest of Yosemite: instead of massive rocks, you are surrounded by massive trees!
I initially planned to make a loop just to the museum since it covers all of the named trees, but it became clear that the best part of the grove is past the museum! So we continued on to the Wawona point. Thanks to the maze of trails you don't see many people, especially in the higher part of the grove, and are one on one with the beautiful trees and joyful singing of birds. All those are missed by the people in the tram that runs around the grove.
