Dusty, dusty, dusty. Almost no snow left. Expansive views most of the way (apart from the first mile or so). Tilly Jane has nice bunks, but it's a big hut and your neighbor may be noisy.
The trail goes down a bit to Tilly Jane, and then, up and up. Nothing steep, but non-stop uphill. Very exposed. Bring sun protection, and wind break on some days, not yesterday.
When you reach the shelter, you're not even half way there. By all means, walk to the end.
We were able to glissade down on one small section. Slushy snow, so no danger involved.
The drive on the gravel road to Cloud Cap is slow, and dusty, but tons of flowers under burnt trees.
