DIRECTIONS: Head West on Highway 20 from Burlington. Take the Southern Fork of Highway 20 towards Whidbey Island. Turn right on Campbell Lake Road. Turn Right on Heart Lake Road. Turn right on Ray Auld Drive and park at the signed trailhead.create

This a decent little trail just outside of Deception Pass State Park. Headed down to the area for the day to find a bit better weather. Less rain but some severe wind warnings in the area made for some interesting views. Trail was quick and easy to follow, though there is a bit of a network of trails at the top, so it may be best to have an idea of where the summit is for the best views. Nice ocean views and views of the San Juan Islands and Olympic Mountains. I wouldn't head here specifically for this hike, but it's good for pairing with other hikes in the area (as we did on this day with Deception Pass Headlands).
