One hardly needed to pack energy bars for this one as there was no shortage of berries for the entire length of the trail. The scenery is spectacular with Mount Baker in view for at least half of the trip. Sadly, fire smoke created a hazy film but it was still beautiful with fields of lupines, critters and birds - picas, grouse and varied thrush.The last kilometer is a steep climb back to the parking lot which can be challenging for some but all in all, a great hike for everyone.
