Mark and I (finally) summitted Blanshard Needle. It's quite fun, and the bottom crux part is a bit nerve wracking without any rock protection. We did choose to rappel the crux during our descent.
Once past the crux, the climbing is over bushy, slightly chossy terrain. Once on the summit, I took a refreshing nap, and had the chance to view some Golden Eagle flying around us.
This is a peak that I never thought about attempting because I always thought it would be too tough. Admittedly, it took three attempts, but I've made good on my word!
