Flowers in full bloom. Should last at least another week.
View of all the snowy peaks: from north to south: Hood, Jefferson, 3-finger Jack, Washington, 3 Sisters, Diamond Peak.
About 7 miles loop. We scrambled up to Cone Peak (no trail, add about 600', and 1 mile RT), as well as hike to the lookout of Iron Mountain (included in the stat of the loop) on well maintained trail, with a lot of people.
You can do just Iron Mt trail in-and-out from a different trailhead. Or head to the ridge below Cone Peak, without continuing on the loop. Easily attainable view and flowering slopes.
We parked at Tombstone Pass on the south side of highway. So, the loop trail crosses the highway twice.
