we Had done this trail second week of January and now came back to stay at night in the fire lookout cabin. The snow since then was almost twice And trail was really nice. We started at 11:30 and got to the top at 4:30. Temperature daytime was 0 and at night dropped to -5. Clear sky and amazing view of stars at night. If you have proper gear, worth it backcountry camping at night but if you’re doing a day hike, make sure start early to be able to get back on time.
