We began our hike at The Chief's trailhead, taking the turn to the right for Peak 3 and The Squaw.
Overall trail was very dry and not another sole could be found, once past the Peak 3 turn off.
A few confusing orange markers taking you right or left, we continued to the left until the trail clearly took you down into the valley bed and across to The Squaw.
As you proceed up the mountain look for a group of markings that take you left into the bush and off the logging road. This is the path to the top. You know you have arrived when you see flat rock, concrete blocks, and a pile of lumber that looks to be the remainder of an old fire lookout tower and a view of Howe Sound.
The entire trip took 4 hours, with approx. 30 minutes for exploring, pictures and gazing at views.
Being a new hiker, this being my 3rd hike, I would rate this a moderate hike with some good challenging uphill treks.
