This is probably the nicest beach in Olympic NP that we've visited (Ruby Beach is pretty nice too). The trail is relatively well-maintained, although a little muddy, and lots of nice switchbacks on the way down the ocean cliff to the beach. Quite a few camp spots within the trees to stay out of the wind/elements, and lots of beach to wander around and beach camp. When you first hit the beach, there is a rocky outcropping just to the North that you can ascend relatively easily and then descend down the other side to reach more beach to wander and camp on. Keep in mind that a Makah Reservation Pass is required to park at the trailhead when day-hiking or overnighting. Another great Olympic NP stop.
