MAP & DIRECTIONS
SUMMARY: From Tenquille Lake, walk west up to Tenquille Pass (about ten minutes) along the trail. Keep an eye out for a trail to the left, which was 'blocked' with a log across it when we were there. Follow this trail up to a point where you are below the col between Copper Mound and Mt. McLeod - this is Fossil Pass. If you don't find this side trail, just follow the main trail up to an open area in the pass which is filled with boulders embedded in the meadows. Go off-trail, cross a stream, and hike up to the col. There is an intermittent trail leading through these meadows, but any route will do.

Once in the col, turn left and hike over a small bump on the ridge - this is the steepest thing you will have to climb on this trip. Once over the bump, follow the easy ridge up to Mt. McLeod.
