I've done this loop many times and just did it again and still like it. Started on the East side of Brothers creek on the Forestry Heritage Rd. Not real fond of the piece from upper crossover bridge at Brothers creek to Lost Lake - lots of roots and muck when it's not so dry - but once you get to Lost Lake, the trail improves on the way to Blue Gentian Lake. Love BGL and if you're lucky, you get to sit down and eat at the one lone picnic table nestled on the East side of the lake. Not so for us this time. Next best place is to head down the West side of Brothers and just after the upper crossover bridge is a bit of a scramble down to the waterfall which is another great place to eat, which is what we did. Hardly anyone on the trails on a Saturday! And this is one of the best displays of Old Growth Cedar in the Vancouver area! Wonderful groves on both sides of the creek so if you like big trees, don't miss this one out. Here's a few quick pics. None of the big trees, sorry about that.
