We arrived at the West Canyon Trail parking lot at around 8:30am and only a few parking spot available. Trail to Evans Peak starts from West Canyon Trailhead, turn left at Viewpoint Trail, and take the right at the Alouette/Evans Peak junction. The trail is well marked and in good condition, very steep grind, over 900 elevation gain which took us almost 3 hrs to climb up to the summit. Our reward is the breathtaking panorama view of the stunning Garibaldi mountain range, Alouette Lake and a close-up view of Alouette Mountain, Blanshard Peak and Golden Ears. This is a moderate to difficult trail, lots of steep climbs uphill and be very careful when going downhill as the soil was loosed and dry, We able to finished back to the parking lot in 5.5 hrs including lunch break and photo taking in the summit. Not that many bugs on the day that we hiked, make sure to bring lots of water, the creek was dry. The only place to refill your water is back to the parking lot where there's a tap for drinking water !
