This is a winter ascent. Not along the summer trail, as the summer trail is entirely under snow.
In fact, we had to walk about 1.5 miles on the road, and before the TH, we took to the treed slope and went straight up towards Hidden Lake Peak, not the Lookout. The beginning (in the woods) is very steep. The peak itself is easier now with snow. See my scramble last July. It was more difficult.
I plotted the rough track. I don't track my progress. So, this is just an estimate.
Current condition: need snowshoes. Snow is very soft and deep. This made the scramble in the woods possible. When the terrain is less steep, we had to use snowshoes. Brought ice-axe, but didn't use it. The snow is too soft to glissade.
