If you're looking for an easy hike with in-your-face Tantalus views, this hike might be for you. Although there is a road cutting up all the way to Levette and Hut Lakes, there are very good trails on both sides, so a loop is possible with minimal road walking. We started off on the Copperbush Trail, with side trip up Silver Summit, which I recommend.
Going up to Levette Lake, there were a lot of young people packing their 4wd after camping the night. Thankfully, we then had the lakeside to ourselves. The warm sun and Tantalus peaks were so great. We dipped our toes and felt we could almost swim in another month.
We headed up the road some more thinking we had time to check out Hut Lakes. However, we turned around due to not knowing how much more road walking we were in for. It was steep and hot. Some people with 4wd were driving up to Hut Lakes.
Something easy in the Squamish Valley, and the whole trail system is well-signed.
