An overnight, camping at the head of Boulder Creek, ~5000'.
Climbed Clark on Sunday 7/18, via the south side of the ridge, instead of via Walrus and Clark Glaciers.
There's a creek crossing that may get your feet wet. We brought sandals. It's easy to cross with sandals.
Currently, not much snow left in the basin. Mosquitoes and flies. Worse at Boulder Pass ~6200'.
There's a trail breaking off at the creek source basin. Followed that over a lower ridge, and climbed over a col of the south ridge of point 8373. Actually we went up a wrong col (lowest) first, and had to back down. The correct col that has a gully on the other side is the highest col. That took an extra hour. Going up and down this one is loose. Going up down the gully on the west side is STEEP. Afterwards, the traverse on the steep slope is also quite bad, hard to have solid foot hold. Once on the proper climb, it was easier. Snow here (I glissade a bit on the way back). Final climb is rock scramble, but not as difficult as going up and down the gully and the traverse.
Didn't see another soul on Saturday.
Sunday, met a group of 3 near the summit of Clark. They also climbed Luahna. We ran out of time. Also I didn't want to go down the steep side of Clark to get to Luahna.
