Place Details Distance: 9.0Km Elevation: 450m High Point: 1450m Location: North Vancouver, BC, Canada 63 Posts An afternoon hike to Brockton Point on a beautiful sunny day. Wore crampons since the trail was hard-packed, although not as many people as at Mood and date:
Went up to Brocton Point with 4-month old Lavina: her 1st time seeing snow and she was all smiles! Starting at 4pm and looking at all the returning Mood and date:
A nice inversion and low fog provided great views today, starting with an amazing sunrise.
It was warm enough to only need a shell and an u Mood and date:
No snow but lots and lots of ice which made the trail a little tricky in a few places. The worst was between Second and Third peak where the Mood and date: Mount Seymour (Third Peak)

Lovely afternoon to spend outside. The good thing: starting close to 5pm, we only met two groups on their way down. The bad thing: a few mosquitoes Mood and date:
Started after 4pm, met very few people. Snow was excellent for hiking just in boots. Sunny and very relaxing summit time. Mood and date:
The snow was a bit old, but still plentiful. I cant imagine a better place to be if you oly had a few hours and were based in Vancouver, the Mood and date:
It was perfect. The snow, conditions, and views were ones of the best that I have seen. Lots of people on trail. It was also pretty warm on the Mood and date:
Limited visibilty as it was snowing the entire time, so no views today. White out at the peak. Lots of fresh snow though and some nice sliding Mood and date:
Went in the afternoon and watched the sunset. Trail was quite busy, even after sunset there were several skiiers headed up. Trail is very well Mood and date:
What a great day for a snowshoe up Mount Seymour. The views were fantastic - we could see all the way to Mount Rainier, which I don't think I've Mood and date:
First snowshoing of the season. It was busy with lots of happy people. It seems many of us were there either today or yesterday. I don't have Mood and date:
The skill hill isn't open yet. Many (including myself) opted to snowshoe up the ski run, then branch off to Brockton Point to snowshoe the rest Mood and date: Mount Seymour (Third Peak)
I was pleasantly surprised by this hike. Once you're above the ski hill, the trail is pleasant, lots of sun exposure though. It was pretty busy Mood and date:
Love the view from the top...there was lots of snow, so opted to stay at the first peak, perhaps next year will be clear and will make it to Mood and date:
