Dropped by Mount St. Helen's and opted for a short trail to stretch the legs. The trail is a descent into the canyon formed after the eruption of the volcano. A few viewpoints on the way to the trailhead offer nice views of St. Helen's itself.
The part of the trail to the 1st bridge is paved and easily accessible. Then, the trail continues as a "moderate" loop to the 2nd suspension bridge. Those willing can descend even further into the canyon via the "difficult" trail, which crosses a few creeks and is close to the edge of the cliffs. We went along it for a while and then turned back. Pleasant exposure to waterfalls, streams and volcanic rock.
